Director's Statement

This film was an attempt to merge two subjects that highly intrigue me: fantasy and tarot.Tarot is a practice that is highly misunderstood even in our time and it is an exceptionally useful and insightful practice. I wanted to show the mysticism of tarot as well as its use in a world where it is more commonly used and it guides the protagonist to where she needs to be. The fantasy element of the film heightens the characters and tarot. I wanted this heightened atmosphere as it shows the audience a more spectacular version of themselves and also shows tarot as a more accessible practice.
